Fifty years after they first graced out TV screen Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds are making a return to television in 2015. New Zealand's Weta Workshop (who aid Peter Jackson with special effects for Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit) will created the new puppets and models.
The new series will features a series of CGI and live action model sets, and will be the first outing for the much loved characters in nearly a decade after the ill fated Thunderbirds movie.
Funded by ITV and New Zealand based Pukeko Pictures, the series will see the return of all the major characters from the original series. Penning the series is Rob Hoegee who writes the incredibly popular Ben 10.
The show is due to air exactly 50 years from its original launch back in 1965.
